While we may have been primarily focused this year with our recent release of AI Transcriptions, we haven't forgotten about making general improvements to our already existing features.

As October ends, we bring extremely useful and much requested additions to the MeetBit platform.

Default Invites for Meeting Links

It's fairly common to have a need to keep certain individuals updated about (or even invited to) events scheduled via Meeting Links.

With this month's release, you can now specify emails that will receive calendar invites whenever a customer schedules an event using your Meeting Link.

Simply add such emails under the Default Invitees field when creating or updating a Meeting Link and these emails will be then included in every event.

Allowing Customers to Include Additional Emails when Scheduling Meeting links

Customers may also want to bring other individuals to the event when scheduling from a Meeting Link. This is extremely common when working with a team and one of them schedules the meeting for everyone else.

Now, you can allow customers to add other emails to include as attendees of the event as they schedule with your Meeting Link.

Specify the maximum number of additional attendees when creating or updating your Meeting Link to utilize this feature. Or, simply leave it at 0 to prevent customers from including additional attendees.

Organizing Conversations

Meeting Links have always been a core part of the MeetBit experience. In this release, we’re adding more control over how conversations are routed to your representatives.

Representative Priority

You can now specify the priority by which meetings are assigned to representatives. When adding a representative, simply indicate their priority number — the lower the number, the higher the priority, with 0 being the lowest.

Facilitating Conversations

We introduced MeetBit Rooms in version 2.0 to give enterprises a branded, secure, and easy-to-use space for online meetings. With MeetBit 3.0, we’re introducing an all-new and feature-packed conferencing experience that makes online communication more natural and effective.

Noise Suppression

We know not everyone joins from a quiet room. In MeetBit 3.0, you can now turn on noise suppression to silence background noise like keyboard typing, barking dogs, or the wind.

To enable it, hover over the microphone icon, open audio input settings, and toggle Noise Suppression on.

Raising Hands

If you’ve got something to say but don’t want to interrupt, you can now raise your hand.

Click the hand raise icon in the control bar — this triggers an audible notification for all attendees and adds a hand icon to your tile's nameplate.

Sending Reactions

Sometimes, a quick emoji says it all. With MeetBit 3.0, you can send animated emoji reactions to engage without unmuting.

To react, hover over the hand raise icon to open the reaction menu, then click on the emoji you'd like to send. It’ll appear animated on your tile for everyone to see.

Analyzing Conversations

Until now, our analytics focused on Meeting Links and Forms. With MeetBit 3.0, you can now gain insights into the actual spoken content of customer conversations.

Multi-Lingual AI Transcriptions

Feed audio or video recordings into MeetBit and get accurate transcriptions with support for English, Tagalog, and Tag-lish. Unlike other services, MeetBit Transcriptions capture speech exactly as spoken, including "uhms", stutters, and other dysfluencies — providing a more truthful record of what was said.

This feature works not just with MeetBit Room recordings — you can also upload recordings from external sources like your call center platform.

We're also working to support more languages, especially for conversations where people naturally switch between languages mid-sentence — a reality in many non-English speaking regions.

Aside from working on some secret big features, we also strive to continue providing improvements to core MeetBit functions.

This week, we're announcing some small changes that'll definitely make massive improvements in your productivity as you use MeetBit.

Duplicating Meeting Links & Notifications

Meeting Links and Notifications are two resources we've found users having multiple "versions" of. It's quite often for example to have two very similar Meeting Links with just a few tweaks or just a completely different set of Representatives.

Now, you can duplicate Meeting Links & Notifications to make managing these resources much easier.

Simply go to an individual Meeting Link or Notification's page and click the "Duplicate" button on the upper right corner. This will create a new Meeting Link or Notification with the same settings as the original one.

Take note however that for Meeting Links, not all properties are copied over. To learn more about this new feature, read our official documentation on this:

Improved Round Robin Assignments

Round robin assignment of meetings in Meeting Links is meant to distribute meetings across all your Representatives. We previously did this randomly but have noticed that over time, assignments often skew to one or two Representatives (maybe nothing truly is random in this world ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).

To fix this, we've slightly changed how round robin assignments work to even out the distribution of meetings.

During scheduling, when there are multiple available Representatives for a date and time slot that a customer picks, we won't assign that meeting to the Representative who got the last meeting assignment. If there are no other available Representatives however, we ignore this rule and just assign the meeting to the only available Representative.

Department Access to Activities

The Activities module previously was only reserved for members of the Global Department. However, we've been getting requests to extend limited access to this module over to other Departments.

Now, Users from non-global Departments can now read and export Activities as long as their Roles give them the permission to do so.

This access however, is only limited to Activities whose subjects belong to the same Department as the current User. Additionally, Users have to specify a Subject in the Activities module before a list of Activities is displayed.

For example, if you belong to the "Sales" Department, you can only view and export Activities of Meeting Links that also belong to the "Sales" Department. Additionally, when you first open the Activities Module, you will see an empty table and would have to pick a specific Meeting Link as the subject before the table is populated.

Some of you already know we've been rebuilding a new version MeetBit. We'll make a more comprehensive announcement about it in time, but for now, we're here to showcase some new improvements we've made for those who are already on MeetBit V2.

Dynamic Link Preview Images

We now dynamically generate preview images whenever you share MeetBit Links on social media. The text is dynamically generated using the link's title and colors adopt your chosen page design or workspace branding.

This new feature is available for all customer-facing pages: Meeting Links, Reschedule Links, Cancel Links, Forms, and MeetBit Rooms.

Different social media platforms handle link previews differently. If you're having issues with Facebook, check their sharing debugger here. You may also search for similar tools for other platforms.

Workspace Colors on MeetBit Rooms

MeetBit Rooms now adopt your workspace's branding colors for buttons, links, and other elements. Previously, only your workspace's logo and font were used — for colors, a default light blue theme was used to ensure visibility in the dark mode UI of MeetBit Rooms.

We now use your workspace's branding colors and compute a new dark-mode version if they're not visible enough for dark mode. This ensures you can showcase your branding more while maintaining the usability of the UI.

Other Improvements

Here are some other improvements we've made along with bug fixes we've released:

• Viewing Meeting Links' passwords and query keys now has a better user interface that makes copying easier.
• We now show a warning whenever you download an attachment from another user.
• The bug where iOS Safari users couldn't download attachments is now fixed.
• Weird UI quirks experienced by some users in iOS Safari that had something to do with Safari's browser toolbar affecting the page height are now fixed.
• Other minor UI bugs were also fixed.

How's your day going? We're back again for another heavily-requested MeetBit update!

Due to popular demand, you can now add custom questions on meeting links to collect details about your guests prior to the meeting.

For instance, you're booking meetings with potential clients and need more information about them (e.g. which company / industry they are from, what is their position, etc). By adding custom questions, you can ask for these details beforehand so you can better prepare for your sales demo.

Creating custom questions

To use this, go ahead and create a new meeting and do the following:

1. Click "Create custom questions".
2. Add in the title of your question.
3. Input all your questions.
4. Select whether you want the answers to appear before or after they choose a schedule.

Tip: You can choose how they should answer whether in short text, long form text, multiple choices, or checkboxes. You can also toggle response validation if you need answers in certain formats like numbers only and require certain questions to be answered.

Made a mistake in your calendar event? You can now edit or delete your event with a click of a button.

You can now connect to unlimited Zoom accounts on MeetBit!

Click "Settings" on the lower left button of your app, scroll to "Web Conferencing Tool" and connect with the Zoom account of your choice.

There's something so addicting about dramatic before and after photos. The thrill of seeing mind-boggling transformation brings out mixed feelings of disbelief, awe, and amazement–all at once!

And today, we're giving you a transformation to gawk about.

If you haven't picked up on the clues yet, MeetBit just got a make over! We went off the social media radar recently, but only because we've been burrowing into work behind the scenes. ✨ We rebuilt our whole platform, gave our user interface a face lift, and designed a new landing page too! All for the sake of providing you a better, faster, more seamless scheduling experience!

Out with the old, in with the new

MeetBit's old home (your web browser) is no longer, and now nests in a newly furnished desktop app! This means that MeetBit will perform extra smoothly and is rid of the lags, loading errors, and internet blunders.

Here's what you should expect on the new MeetBit app! 👇

1. Find time for every meeting

With your schedules consolidated in one dashboard, you'll be able to see a complete view of your available times. You can also check the availability of your contacts / team members by typing out their names on the upper right corner of the screen. Their calendar will appear along with yours and you should see a view of everyone's mutual availabilities.

Afterwards, drag a rectangle on your desired time slot and schedule a meeting.

2. Embed your booking links

You can now embed MeetBit booking links on websites! Simply copy-paste the link provided on your dashboard and embed it into your website for guests to use.

3. Customizable timezone views

So when you're working from home, dealing with clients across the globe, and coordinating with teammates +2 hours away from you, don't fret! Just add different timezone views on your dashboard. MeetBit has got you covered.

4. Ultra-fast Scheduling Shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts on the MeetBit dashboard make everything faster! For example, pressing Command + S opens the sidebar for scheduling a meeting while Command + L for creating a booking link.

Spotlight Search lets you schedule from anywhere, without having to open the MeetBit app! Simply press Command + Space and type an action, e.g. "schedule meeting" or "meeting link".

How to migrate your account to the MeetBit app

Follow the instructions to a T, and you should be set up in less than 3 minutes.

1. Open this site and Sign In using the same email account and password used in your MeetBit account. (Do not use the short-cut Sign In with Google or Microsoft as it won't work)

2. Next, type in the name you want for your custom meeting link and sign in with your password. You should be directed to download the MeetBit app afterwards.

3. Open the newly downloaded MeetBit app and press Sign In. You should be directed to a website where you input your email and password; afterwards, you should see your old account migrate perfectly into the new app.

And there you have it! Hoping this tops all your past Meetbit experiences. ⭐️

It’s MeetBit’s 1st anniversary and I can’t believe it’s been exactly a year since we started. It feels like just moments ago, we were pre-product and just pitching the idea of a scheduling assistant to potential early adopters.

In the year that has passed, MeetBit has gone from an idea by 2 college students to a scheduling solution that helps entire teams manage their availability and time.

I started @heymeetbit w/ @kirstenmarini exactly a year ago and so far whilst still in college, we’ve been able to fundraise 7 digits, earn 5 digits in revenue and grow into a team of 7.

Scheduling was a personal problem.

When Kirsten and I decided we wanted to start a startup together we started hunting around for an idea we could quickly test. We looked for problems we could address and well, started with things that personally were grinding up our own gears.

Back then, both of us were on the executive board of BYTE, our university’s startup organization. As student leaders, we had to deal with a lot of other students to bring our organization’s projects to life. On top of that, we had other clubs and had class group works like every other student.

Whilst looking for a problem, we realized we found ourselves in a certain situation all too often. We would be in a group chat with other students and when we had to meet, it would take ages to find a common time. Someone would say, “I have class sorry”, “how about tom instead?” or some other response that would force the scheduling conversation to definitely last a few hours.

This was how we started MeetBit. We thought, what if there was a way to send a single message and get the perfect meeting schedule right away. We wanted to just say: “MeetBit schedule a meeting with everyone here tomorrow” and we would get a meeting scheduled instantly with the entire group.

Spending time on what really matters.

There always is something to work on, and with the finite amount of time we have each day, we have to pick and choose which comes first and what can be put off for another day. For certain roles, there are tasks to be prioritized and ones that shouldn’t.

Sales teams meet with clients and close deals, marketing teams ideate and build campaigns and management strategize and guide. But, whatever the role is, everyone has to meet with who they’re working with. This, then makes scheduling a task that everyone has.

However, scheduling isn’t the core role that people have and is a menial task we just all have to do. But, we end up spending so much time trying to find time, things get done later than we’d like to or we're squeezed when we actually have to do our job.

We understand how important scheduling is. But, we also understand it’s not what anyone wants to spend their time on. Coming from our own experience, we wanted to let people offload scheduling and focus on what they love and are good at.

We’re spending more time to help you save time.

MeetBit has since moved to become a scheduling powerhouse that handles your personal availability, finds common times with your teammates and organizes meetings with external partners. You might think we’re almost done here and that in the year that has passed we’ve finally got scheduling covered. However, there’s still so much to address and we’re now bringing in even more people on board to spend more time in solving this problem.

From 2 student founders, we’ve now grown to a team of 7 and are actively hiring. We'd love to have you, so head on over to meetbit.io/careers to join the us.
